Casual Stroll to Mordor has posted a screencap of the new map we're getting with update 6 (Shores of the Great River). This is essentially the valley south of Lorien between the Misty Mountains and the Anduin, bordered by the river Limlight to the south. The Field of Celebrant is included, which I think will be a fun touch.
The shape of the region looks spot on, almost identical to the map of Middle-earth. The content, though, looks kind of odd. If you look at the flyby videos we see lots of wet, marshy lands. This seems obvious as it is a river valley but there are also lots of Rohirrim camps and even a broken down town occupied by some of the Riders. I may need to watch the videos again but I have a hard time imagining Rohirrim crossing the Limlight and venturing so close to Lothlorien.
As usual, the quests will likely provide a possible (if not probable) explanation of their presence, much like Theodred venturing into Dunland for the recent epic Volume 3. And also, as usual, I will maintain my apprehension about the integration of the zone by Turbine until I actually get there and then I will shirk my gripes and love the space.
What do you all think? How is this new region shaping up?
