Beneath Your Feet launches!

[Direct Download]

Welcome, one and everyone, to the newest Lord of the Rings Online podcast: Beneath Your Feet! I am starting things off with a brief pilot episode to introduce the podcast and the contest that will get things going.

As you listen to the pilot, my hope is that you'll understand where I am coming from with Beneath Your Feet; it is a podcast about LotRO, but moreover it is a podcast about Middle-earth, it's lands, and it's people. Each episode (and I mean to release them bi-monthly) will explore a particular region of the West of  Middle-earth and look at it's inhabitants, history, geography, and more. It should be a fun way to learn more about the grand world that J.R.R. Tolkien created and Turbine has interpreted.

So let's get to the contest.

Each episode will feature at least one listener's original content -- who knows, maybe I'll put in two or three if they are just too good to miss! This content can be anything about the region we are exploring that can be put into a podcast.

This means songs, poems, stories, soundscapes, whatever.

You make it, I'll read it (or you can read it!). Each episode will also have a featured screenshot for that part of the world, so whenever I announce the next region (typically at the end of each podcast) start sending your favorite screenshots my way!

So, I will have a winning bit of content and a winning screenshot. Each winner will take home a Turbine Points card worth 1600 points.

So listen to the pilot episode and email your submissions to shipwreck@lotrobeneathyourfeet.com by Friday, 2 September, at 11:59 pm.

This week's music...
